1930 - beginning of the construction of the school according to the design of engineer Antoni Olszewski
March 24, 1934 - solemn consecration of the building called ‘the school palace’ by journalists, with the participation of the Silesian Voivode, Michał Grażyński
June 6, 1937 - awarding the first banner to the facility
1935-1938 - conducting a didactic and educational experiment called "the Cub Scout Method", the originator of which was Aleksander Kamiński, the author of "Stones for the Rampart"
December 1939 - the beginning of educational activities of the German co-educational school No. 2 in Mikołów
January 1945 - occupation of the building by Soviet troops (field hospital)
May 1945 - resumption of classes in the building of the Polish school again
1962 - visit to the school of outstanding writers such as Alfred Szklarski and Gustaw Morcinek
May 7, 1966 - naming the school after the Silesian Insurgents and founding a new banner
1973-1976 - expansion of the school with an additional wing, which today houses a common room, a hall, a library, and a canteen
1975 - the first celebration of the School Patron's Day
1999-transformation of Primary School No. 1 in Mikołów into Junior High School No. 1 in Mikołów
2004 - blessing of the banner of Junior High School No. 1
2007 - awarding the school the title of "Mikołowian of the Year"
2012/2013 – record number of winners of provincial subject competitions in one school year - 23 people
2013-Organization of the Provincial Inauguration of the School Year 2013/2014 with the participation of the Silesian Voivode - Zygmunt Łukaszczyk and the Silesian Education Superintendent - Stanisław Faber
2014 - return of clocks that have been closed since the post-war years to the tower of the building - a gift for the school funded by parents and sponsors on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the facility
2017 - change of the school system as a result of the education reform. Liquidation of junior high schools. Establishment of the Silesian Insurgents Primary School No. 1 in Mikołów
2019 - termination of the operation of Junior High School No. 1 in Mikołów
December 5, 2019 - creation of the Green Workshop - "Through the forest to knowledge" co-financed by the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Katowice
2020 - creation of the Blue Workshop as part of the project "Kaleidoscope of knowledge and skills of students of primary schools in Mikołów"
2020 - creation of "Class under the oak tree"
2021 - construction of a playground for children "Wesołe Podwórko" from the funds of the participatory budget
September 24, 2021 - consecration of the new banner of Primary School No. 1
2020-2021-coronavirus pandemic, introduction of distance learning
2021 - establishment of a rehabilitation office, a speech therapy office and a reading room
2022 - establishment of two technical and art studios as part of the "Laboratories of the Future" project
